My project today is a cute little bunny made with the Envelope Punch Board! She sure makes me think of spring! This idea was inspired by a Snowman that was created by Jackie Topa. Thanks Jackie for the inspiration!
Her body is a piece of
Sahara Sand cardstock, cut 3 inches x 11 inches, and scored at 5 inches
from each edge. I used my paper trimmer to score these lines. This
created the base of the bunny.
To create her neck, I used the Envelope Punch Board – and punched four notches at 2 1/2 inches.
I did this to all four edges of the card stock –

completes the base of the bunny – now to add the cuteness factor! Most
of the rest of the bunny was done using Stampin’ Up! punches –
Her eyes were punched in black cardstock with the 1/2 inch circle punch. I used the Chalk Marker to add some simple highlights to her eyes.
Her nose is created with the one inch circle punch and Sahara Sand cardstock. I added a few freckles with a Basic Gray marker.
Pink Pirouette cardstock was punched with the small heart punch
and added to her nose. I attached a few wisps of linen thread beneath
the heart for her whiskers, and then added a bit of pink pirouette to
create her mouth.
To hold her together, I used a piece of Blushing Bride Chevron Ribbon and added a bit of a tea lace doily to create her collar.
Her ears were made using the Large Oval (pink pirouette) and the Extra- Large Oval (whisper white) punches.
Her
carrot was made using a framelit from the Hearts Collection framelits –
and the carrot top was easily created with my Fringe Scissors, and some
gumball green designer series paper.
I created a small “Happy Easter” banner using a stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, and added it to the carrot.
And
we all know every well dressed Easter Bunny needs an Easter Bonnet –
and hers was created using the 2 1/2 inch Circle Punch – I cut this in
half and the brim of her hat is just a small piece of card stock with
the corners rounded (using the envelope punch board). I used the Square
Lattice die and my big shot to make her bonnet resemble a straw hat.
The
flower on her hat is created using several layers of the 7/8 inch
scallop punch – layered together and snipped with the fringe scissors. I
sprayed a little water on the card stock so I could “scrunch” up the
layers. To finish off the hat, I added a jumbo rhinestone.
