Life in the Forest

If you like “cute” then this card will make you smile! I love these little critters and had fun creating a shape card!
Thanks to the Banner Framelitss, the shape of this card was easy to create!  I started with a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of Smoky Slate cardstock, scored it at 5 1/2 and then placed the largest banner framelit just slightly above the fold.  (if you place the framelit under the fold, you will end up with two separate pieces).
The mouse and racoon were stamped with Smoky Slate ink and colored with a blender pen and Smoky Slate ink, and I used the 2 1/2 inch circle punch to punch them out.
Love you is stamped in Bermuda Bay ink and cut out using the coordinating Word Bubbles framelit.
The Bermuda Bay scallop circle was cut using the Perfect Pennants Bigz die – fits perfectly for layering with the 2 1/2 inch circle punch. This die is on our retiring list – don’t miss out!  Also on this die are some pennant shapes – which are so trendy right now!
I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to create some background interest -with Smoky Slate ink.
My little banners under the focal point were created with the Fresh Prints Designer Paper Stack and the Designer Series Paper Stack – Brights.
The little daffodil delight flower is punched with one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Punch pack – this too is retiring! Sad about this – I use these punches all the time!
For the inside of my card, I used a smaller banner shaped framelit and white card stock, and added a birthday greeting the the cute little mouse again!  I am not a fan of mice in real life, but I think this little guy is a cutie!

And here is another photo of the card, in a regular shape!
