Happy Owl-oween!

Before I share my card today, I want to thank all of you who voted for me on Kylie’s International Blog Hop – I got some exciting news from her this week – my card actually placed first! Wow!!!

I am so excited and humbled!  Thanks so much for your support and votes!  To see my card, please click HERE

Now for today’s card-  I used the Spooky Cat stamp set to create a cute Halloween card -or in this case, Owl-oween!

My card design was inspired by this week’s sketch from  Freshly Made Sketches #307

https://lauramilligan.com/2017/09/freshly-made-sketches-307-sketch-by-jen.html

To create my card, I started with a base of Pumpkin Pie cardstock, added a panel of Early Espresso, and then a Very Vanilla layer that I embossed with the Woodland Embossing folder.  I used an aquapainter to add some flecks of Pumpkin Pie and Early Espresso.

I used two Layering Circle framelits to create a ring, and attached it to a circle of Very Vanilla cardstock.  I embossed this entire piece with the Softly Falling Embossing folder – wanted to get the look of craters on the moon!

I layered the circle over a piece of Burlap ribbon and attached to my card front.  My branch was cut from the Seasonal Layers thinlets – I love these thinlets – gorgeous leaves, the super cute Adirondack chair, flowers, snowflakes, etc.  It’s such a versatile set.  A must have!

I stamped my owl in crumb cake ink and stamped her eyes with Early Espresso ink.  I used Pumpkin Pie ink for her beak and feet.  I cut her out and sat her on the branch.

I finished the card with a linen bow and some Black Rhinestones.

Supplies for this project are listed below with clickable links to my online store.  If you don’t have a demonstrator, I’d love the chance to serve you!

Thanks for stopping by!!  I hope you have time to “BEE” creative today!
