Good Morning! I have just returned from a wonderful week in my favorite little spot in Florida. I actually took my laptop with me – with plans to blog in the early mornings when I got up – but on day one, I realized I had forgotten my power cord – with almost no battery power – and wasn’t able to post – perhaps that was a good thing!
Today is my birthday – I thought I’d share a pretty birthday card, featuring the Cake Soiree bundle again! This is another card that I shared at Onstage Live this past November.
The card base is Marina Mist – and that is the ink I used as well to stamp the cake. I used a blender pen to blend the flowers and also added a touch of green for the leaves with Old Olive ink.
With the Big Shot, and Sweet Cake framelits, I cut out the cake. I used my precision plate to cut both pieces of the cake stand -I love the detail of the stand!
The cake topper is one of two cake toppers in the stamp set – I stamped it on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and cut it out with my paper snips.
I adhered the cake stand to a piece of Whisper White cardstock – this was embossed with the Scattered Sequins Dynamic Embossing Folder.
I made a “swirl” of Silver Sequin trim and attached it with dimensionals behind the cake, and then placed it over the cake stand. I put the cake topper on the cake with a mini dimensional.
To finish the card, I added two rhinestones onto the cake. Here’s a close up-
Best part of my birthday? Getting to spend it with my four beautiful girls! These girls fill my heart with such joy! I am so blessed!
