The cards I created on my Facebook Live yesterday featured this beautiful paper! Of course, the point of what I am sharing this week is to help you with ideas on how to use your stash of designer papers! This layout is a quick one – just select four pieces of DSP – and cut them 1 1/4 x 4. You can add a greeting and a larger image as the focal point.
For my card, I cut the flower from one of the patterns from the True Love DSP. There are three different patterns in this pack of DSP that have images that can be fussy cut! We are spoiled by all of the dies we have to crop our images – but truly – these flowers are not that hard to cut with your trusty pair of Paper Snips! And there is just something elegant about a black and white card!
The next card I created used the polka dot pattern from the DSP package – and I added some color with my blending brushes. Have you tried them yet? They are so great to use – and they are one of the tools we have that make you feel like an artist when you use them! For the hummingbird card, I wanted to create a soft color palette – and used Seaside Spray to add color to the polka dot circle. The hummingbird is also stamped in Seaside Spray ink – and then I used a blending brush to add some Highland Heather to her breast. I finished her off with a touch of Wink of Stella.
The butterfly card is much brighter – I used Daffodil Delight ink to add color to the polka dots. My butterfly is Pacific Point Ink with Tuxedo Black Memento ink as the outline.
