I have two cards to share with you today -the first is a Christmas themed Slim Line card. Have you tried a slimline card yet? This is my first time to make one and all I can say is, I’m hooked! They are such fun!
Start with a 7″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Whisper White Thick, score at 3 1/2.
Adhere a 8 1/8″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, along with the Home Together Dies to crop a 5 1/2 x 1 1/2 and a 7 x 2 1/2 piece of Whisper White Cardstock to create the snowy landscape.
Emboss both pieces with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder.
Use the coordinating Home Together Dies to crop the house, wreath & trees from the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper.
Adhere all with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use Paper Snips to trim the sentiment from the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper.
Adhere over a bow of Old Olive All the Trimmings Ribbon.
Add All the Trimmings Embellishments to the trees.
My second card shows the versatility of this suite! I needed a birthday card for my sister in law, Nancy! Her birthday is in early September and she happens to have a Cajun Craze colored VW! I knew I had to create a special birthday card for her using that VW! Here’s what I came up with!
Nancy lives in Michigan and often travels up north where there are lots and lots of trees! I used the landscape dies to create a tree-lined road ! I cut out three of pieces of the landscape die – two in Old Olive and one in Smoky Slate to represent the road. I snipped off the trees from one of the Old Olive pieces and also from the Smoky Slate piece. I adhered them together with Mono Liquid Glue. I used the trees I had removed to add some interest in the lower part of the panel.
Fun and whimsical! Also, I used the “smoke” stamp – which is meant for smoke coming out of the chimney as a little bit of exhaust coming out the back of the VW!
Don’t miss out on this whimsical fun Suite and your chance to Make a Difference!
My next pick – the BEAUTIFUL Poinsettia Place Suite. It’s is truly gorgeous!
I’m a fan of neutrals and love that the designer paper has some neutrals in it – my favorite poinsettias are the white ones! Saying that, I have to add that a poinsettia done in the beautiful Red Velvet Paper is a “wow!”
POINSETTIA PLACE SUITE COLLECTION
Nothing says classic Christmas like the Poinsettia Place Suite Collection. Create pretty, seasonal blooms that embody elegant beauty in a traditional color scheme.
Here’s a card I shared recently using a neutral color palette:
You can see the details on the card above on my blog post here.
The Poinsettia Place Suite Collection includes: * Poinsettia Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set (10% off) * Poinsettia Dies (10% off) * Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper * Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper * Beaded Pearls * Real Red 3/8″ (1 cm) Sheer Ribbon
Product colors:Bumblebee, Garden Green, Old Olive, Real Red, Soft Suede
Start with an 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ Sahara Sand card base, score at 4 1/4″
Emboss a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Sahara Sand card stock with the Scripty 3D embossing folder (one of my favorites!)
Stamp the poinsettia petals and greeting with Sahara San Ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock.
Stamp the leaves in Old Olive Ink onto Old Olive card stock.
Use the Poinsettia dies & a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (available September 1st) to crop the stamped poinsettia petals and leaves, and to crop two sprigs of Silver Foil.
Cut and angle the end of the sentiment with your Paper Snips.
To assemble the card:
Wrap the embossed panel with Vanilla 1/2″ Ribbon, then adhere to the card base.
Assemble and adhere the poinsettia, leaves and sprigs as shown.
Adhere the greeting to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.
Attach the Beaded Pearls to the center of the poinsettia with a glue dot.

Here is a link to my Facebook Live where I created these cards:
Start with a Blackberry Bliss card base, cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
Take a piece of the Designer Series Paper -I used the Harlequin pattern, cut 4″ x 5 1/4″ and run it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the “triple window die.”
Using Tuxedo Memento Ink, stamp the Owl with the Spider and the Owl with the Moon onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 13/4″ x 2 1/2″.
Stamp the Owl with the Pumpkin onto a 1 1/2″ square piece of Whisper White cardstock
Color as desired – I used the following blends: Light Black, Soft Suede Combo, Cajun Craze Combo, Light Mango Melody, Rich Razzleberry Combo
Use the dies to cut out the Owl with the Cape and Moon and the Owl with the Pumpkin.
To position the pieces, attach dimensionals to the back corners of each die cut window on the designer series paper, and position the White stamped panels. Attach this to the card base with dimensionals.
Add the Pumpkin cut out shape to the card with a dimensional. Pop up the owl and the moon with dimensionals, attaching to the card.
Stamp the Boo onto a small strip of paper and attach to card front. To finish the card, add three Iridescent Pearls with the Take Your Pick Tool.
Add a Whisper White Panel to the inside of the card, and stamp with a greeting. I also added a small strip of DSP scrap onto the bottom of the white panel.
