Swallowtail

I think I gasped  the first time I saw the Swallowtail stamp!! It is gorgeous!  It was one of the first stamps I ordered in the Spring Catalog – but I didn’t “ink it up” til last week!!  Now I love it even more than when I first saw it!!!

It stamps so nicely – especially with our new style of ink pads.  They are the best!

I used the En Francais background stamp and just lightly inked it – I was hoping for a more “muted” look with the background.  I used Midnight Muse ink for the Swallowtail, added a little peek of doily at the side, one of the flowers from the flower trim bolt (sponged with some crumb cake ink)  and a snip of midnight muse ribbon.

This card comes together pretty quickly – my favorite kind of card!

Supplies Used In this Card:
Stamps- Swallowtail, French Script
Ink – Midnight Muse and Crumb Cake
Card stock – Midnight Muse, Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Extras – Midnight Muse Stitched Ribbon, Paper Doily, Flower Trim

Here’s a similar card made with different colors – basic black, crumb cake and very vanilla card stock.  For this card, I also added stamps from Amazing Family stamp set.

and here is the inside –
