My Friend

I used the Oval Framelits to create this card.  Sometimes it is fun to do a card that isn’t a tradtional shape.

To create the card, I simply folded a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and placed the fold line just inside the Scallop Oval Framelit (it is the largest shape in the set).

The Very Vanilla layer is a smaller oval framelit –  I stamped a piece of Very Vanilla card stock with the Wildflower Meadow stamp – (love this one) and crumb cake ink, and then lined it up with the Wildflower Meadow Embossing Folder and embossed it. Then positioned this under the Oval Framelit and cut out the shape.  I cut an extra oval shape in this size and used it for the inside of my card.

The Wildflower Meadow stamp set is bundled with the matching embossing folder – you save 15% when you buy the bundle!!

The embellishments on the card include Pink Pirouette Taffeta Ribbon that wraps around the Very Vanilla Oval, and some small pieces of  Blushing Bride Chevron Ribbon and Crochet Lace.

I tied these on with some Linen Thread and added a butterfly that was stamped and punched and embellished with a few tiny pearls.

The “My Friend” stamp is from the Six Sided Sampler Stamp Set, and I used this to create a tag.

What do you think? Love to hear your comments!
