This was the first time I have inked up this stamp – I love tulips and have recently seen bundles of them for sale in stores! I have resisted buying any yet – but will probably be making a purchase soon! Spring is coming – we know that – although it’s another cold day here in Ohio! I have actually seen a few robins hopping around in the snow! So yes, spring is on it’s way!
Anyway, my card today was based on the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches I just flipped it upside down!
I colored the tulips with blendabilties – don’t be afraid of them! They are so much fun to use – really you can’t go wrong! The color lifter comes to the rescue for perfect blending and to lift color if too much color was added! I love the color lifter!
I sponged some crumb cake ink on the Typeset designer Paper and around the tulip image – then added some very light specks using my favorite stamp from Gorgeous Grunge.
I used the Paper Piercing tool to poke two small holes on either side of the tulip bundle and threaded a small piece of linen thread through them – and added a bow.

I am excited to have some stampers coming to my studio, The Bee Spot this morning — can’t wait! Hope you have some time to stamp today and thanks much for visiting!!
Love your card Laura. I'm a sucker for the vintage look. We made your cute "A Happy Thing" Bird card (same type look) at my M&T earlier this week. All the ladies loved it. I hope you don't mind. I'll likely be casing this wonderful card too! Thank You!
Thanks, Barb! Glad you like my vintage cards!!
Your card took my eyes when I was looking at the entry's at FMS. Wow, what a gorgeous card you've made! Might case it at a time, stamping hugs, Erna
Thank you Erna!! Appreciate your kind words!
