Butterfly Basics

Mar 11, 2015 | Uncategorized | 0 comments

My card today is based on a card shared on the Stampin’ Up! site – not sure who created it but I sure think this card is a beauty!

I tweaked the card slightly – the base of my card is Whisper White and the next layer is Basic Gray – this was embossed with the Modern Mosiac folder.  The butterfly shape is the negative of the larger Butterfly thinlet.  (save the actual butterfly and use it on another project!)

I used the Pansy punch and Crisp Cantaloupe card stock for the center of the butterfly – and added the postmark stamp, a vintage faceted button and a bit of black bakers twine.

The Hello is from the Hello You thinlet dies.

The design behind the butterfly is one of the patterns from the Sheer Perfection Vellum stack – this is gorgeous – and any of the patterns look great behind the butterfly!  Gorgeous vellum!

This vellum – and all of the Saleabration products (other than the stamp sets) are available now only while supplies last – so if you have thought about ordering and getting any of the designer paper, vellum, twine, buttons – don’t delay!

Wow – the sun is shining here – and the snow is melting – I can actually see the grass – been a long time!

On a personal note – today is a great day for our family – my mom got to go home today after spending two months in a rehab center after surgery in January!  It is a HAPPY day!
