Receiving a hand stamped card in the mail, that someone made just for you is something to be treasured. It is sure to brighten your day and touch your heart!
We always say stamping is so much more than stamps, ink and paper and it is so true!
My card today is for the family of a dear friend – Nancy Johnson. She found me through the internet and became a customer first – but every time she called me our friendship grew as well. She was a delightful lady – and was battling cancer. Although we never met, there was a bond between us – all because of stamping. We kept up with each other’s lives and shared sadness and joys. We would also chat about the newest stampin’ catalogs and products.
When I received an email from Nancy’s daughter, just before Christmas saying that Nancy had taken a turn for the worse and wouldn’t pull through this time, my heart ached for them. I was sad because I will miss her calls and chatting with her – although she was going through a tough battle, she always seemed upbeat – I loved that about her.
So I made a card to send to her family offering my condolences and want to share it with you today – it is simple, but comes from my heart. Hopeful that the family will know how I thankful I am for Nancy and how she will be missed.
Yes, it is so much more than stamps, ink and paper.
