Welcome to the September Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop – we are doing a color challenge this month with Tranquil Tide, Fresh Fig and Very Vanilla. I love these rich, gorgeous colors!

Here’s my card:

I used the Colorful Seasons Bundle to create my card – such a versatile bundle – perfect for year round, seasonal stamping- fall, winter, summer, spring – it covers them all!

Here’s how my card went together:
(measurements for card at the end of this post)
Card base is Very Vanilla.
Next layer is from the Eastern Palace Designer Series Specialty Paper stack -I chose the Fresh Fig paper with a subtle stripe.

Next layer is a fun watercolor background – and here’s how to do it:

Sponge some Tranquil Tide ink onto the Polka Dot Embossing folder – I used a very light touch and just added a light bit of color.

Lightly spritz the embossing folder/ink with water.

Press Watercolor Paper onto this and allow it to sit a minute to absorb the color.

Here’s what it looks like:  (each time you do this, you’ll get a different result – and if you add more ink at the beginning you’ll get a much darker color.  I used little ink because I wanted to stamp the leaves over this.)

I let it dry for a few minutes and then stamped leaves from the Colorful Seasons stamp set over the watercolor.

I cut two copper leaves using the thinlets from the bundle, the copper foil sheets and my Big Shot.  The copper foil sheets are so perfect for fall.

I cut a large circle out of Watercolor Paper with the Stitched Shape framelits.  I used dimensionals to attach the solid leaf and tucked the detailed leaf behind the circle, and added one gold faceted gem.

Before attaching the circle to the card front, I added a folded piece of Tranquil Tide ribbon.

Here’s the inside of my card:

Just a small copper foil leaf and a bit of the designer paper.

Supplies used on my card are listed below with clickable links to visit my Online Shop;  I’d sure appreciate your order!
