Lady Bug Cuteness

Mar 21, 2020 | Uncategorized | 0 comments

Hope you are all doing well!  Our world has certainly been in my prayers at this unprecedented time.

Today I am sharing a cute little card using the Little Ladybug stamp set and coordinating Ladybug dies.  I’ve been doing some facebook lives this past week and this was one of the cards featured!

The Little Ladybug stamp set is offered as a host only set – it’s a free bonus stamp set during Saleabration for anyone hosting a $300 or greater party – you can put a large order in and “host” your own party – or get some orders together from friends to reach the $300 level!  Please contact me if you’d like to do this!  I’d bee happy to help.   (the dies are available for purchase and I do recommend purchasing them if you have the Little Ladybug stamp set).

I’ve seen some adorable cards shared with this set, mostly in red and black – but I decided it would be fun to “soften” this little lady up a bit.  My card features Soft Seafoam and Petal Pink colors.  What do you think?

She is a cute little lady and I also think she could make a cute bumble bee with a color change to yellow and black?

Here’s a closeup of the card –  one of my favorite dies in the Ladybug dies is the “flight pattern” that it creates –  you can see it behind the lady bug – it looks like she is flitting away from the flower.

I stamped the large flower onto the Soft Sea Foam panel with Soft Sea Foam ink.  The flower and lady bug stamps were stamped onto thick Whisper White cardstock, and cut out with coordinating dies.

I added color to these images with Stampin’ Blends – best thing ever for coloring!

I used the “flight pattern” die to create a little path for the lady bug.

I used Metallic Pearls and/or Champagne Rhinestones for some embellishment.   My Clear Wink of Stella added a little shimmer to both the flower and the ladybug’s cute face!

Measurements for this card:
Whisper White Card Base:  8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″, word panel is 3/4″ x 2″,  plus some smaller pieces for stamping and die cutting the flower and the ladybug.
Soft Seafoam:  3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
Petal Pink Designer Series Paper (from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper) 1/2″ x 2″

I’d love to invite you to follow me on facebook – I’m sharing projects several times a week – with the hopes of bringing some crafty fun into your homes during this quarantine period!
