If you are a paper crafter like me, chances are you have A LOT of Designer Series Paper (patterned paper) in your stash! My cards today give you two ideas for what to do with some of those scraps!
For both cards, I used the gorgeous Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper (DSP). The card above also features the Autumn Goodness Bundle – don’t miss this one! The picket fence die alone is worth getting this bundle – well in my humble opinion anyway! I created a background for the card with 1/2″ wide strips of paper – the longest length is 6 inches – most of the strips can be shorter, depending on where you position them.

The second card (below), creates a starburst with just a few pieces of DSP
measuring 2″ x 6″. I cut them diagonally with my Stampin’ Trimmer and
started assembling the card.

This card features the Gilded Autumn Bundle – another beautiful bundle with three adorable little fall punches – an oak leaf, maple leaf and acorn. There are stamps that coordinate with these punches, but you will also find these images on the DSP – for quick, easy creating!
Here’s a Facebook Live video showing how to recreate these cards.

Card One: Starburst Card:
Adhere a 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 piece of Early Espresso Cardstock onto a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 card base of Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock, scored at 4 1/4.
Cut several different patterns of DSP measuring 2″ x 6″ diagonally.
Use a 4 x 5 1/4 panel of Very Vanilla cardstock to build the starburst. Score the middle of this panel at 2 5/8 (or draw a fine line with a pencil if you prefer). This will ensure that the papers will be straight.
Start at the score line and adhere the first piece of DSP. Continue by adding more strips of DSP until the Very Vanilla Panel is totally covered. Use Paper Snips to snip off the excess around all edges.
Attach this panel to the Early Espresso panel with dimensionals.
Crop a label from the Tasteful Label Dies and your Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. Stamp greeting with Early Espresso ink.
Adhere a small strip of the Mint Macaron Ribbon behind the label. Attach label to card with dimensionals
To finish the card, tie an acorn to a piece of the Copper Trim and attach to card front as shown. Punch a maple leaf from the DSP and attach with a glue dot.
Card Two: Slimline Card:
Card base is Cajun Craze, measuring 8 1/2 x 7 – score at 3 1/2
Adhere a panel of Mint Macaron to the card front, measuring 8 1/4 x 3 1/4. Cut a panel the same size with Very Vanilla – adhere this to the inside panel of your card.
Cut a piece of Very Vanilla 8 x 3 – this will be used to add all of the DSP strips – they measure 1/2 wide and are of varying lengths.
Use Tombo Liquid Glue to attach the strips – refer to video for placement.
Stamp the wheel barrel and the flower spray with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and color using Stampin Blends – Light Cajun Craze, Dark Pumpkin Pie, Dark Mint Macaron, and Light Soft Suede. After coloring, crop with the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine and the new Magnetic plate!
Crop a scalloped circle in Early Espresso, and a label shape in Very Vanilla, and a Wheel in Gold Foil.
Cut the Scalloped circle in half and position on either side of the Very Vanilla label. Attach to card front with dimensionals. Attach the wheel barrel, spray of flowers and the wheel.
Stamp “thankful” on to a small strip of paper and cut the ends – attach to card front with glue dots.
Tie a large bow with the Braided Linen trim and tuck below the word panel with a glue dot. To finish the card, embellish with Gilded Gems.
