Sweetbriar Rose

Hello Blog Visitors!  Sorry I have been missing in action this week – we had a great week, but a busy one and I didn’t get a chance to blog much! Hope to post more this week !
My card today features more new products from our new catalog! Here’s how I made it:
I started with a base of Whisper White cardstsock cut 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches.
I then used my Big Shot and the new Striped Scallop thinlet to create the fun background!
Tip for this thinlet – use wax paper for ease in cutting.  The “sandwich” should be a cutting plate, a piece of card stock (in my case crumb cake),  a layer of waxed paper ,  the thinlet, topped off with the second cutting plate.  I also ran this through the Big Shot once and then brought it back towards me a second time to make sure all the little shapes had been cut.
This thinlet also has little holes to help pop out the shape after cutting.
My stamped image, is a single stamp called Sweetbriar Rose – it is very pretty and I just stamped it in Crumb Cake Ink on Whisper White cardstock.
I used the new Project Life corner rounder punch and popped this image up with Stampin’ dimensionals.
To finish the card, I added a tiny bit of our new Venetian Crochet Trim, and a Crumb Cake candy dot.
I wanted to share a couple fun photos I took this week.  My desk overlooks our backyard and I recently put a window birdfeeder on the window that my desk faces.   I love bird watching and have enjoyed seeing the birds coming to the feeder – mostly cardinals!  Male and females and this week I have seen some adorable little baby cardinals.
Anyway, as I sat at my desk on Friday, I had a little visitor come to the bird feeder –

He stared at me for a few seconds and then started to feast on the birdseed!

We had a “birds eye view” of each other, and it was fun!

Hope you all enjoy your day!
