When I designed this, it was created to hold some tags that we also made at our meeting. We all need tags and this is a great way to package them.
But there are other ways you can use this bag – in my photo above, I have a packet of hot chocolate and a candy cane. Of course some chocolate could be added as well – I love the Ghiardelli chocolate squares – they would fit perfectly in this bag.
And if you want to give a bigger gift – why not add a gift card!
Here’s how this bag went together –
I used our Polka Dot Gift bags – they are a bargain and super cute – (10 bags for $3.95) Stampin’ Up! also carries similar bags with a Chevron pattern and these would be perfect for this little packet, too.
I folded the bottom of the bag up towards the front of the bag -to create a pocket. I am loving the fast fuse adhesive for projects like this – it holds really well. Doing this actually creates two pockets – the opening of the bag itself (where I put the hot chocolate and candy cane) and the smaller pocket created by folding the bag.
Next I wrapped a piece of Cherry Cobbler Striped Grosgrain Ribbon around the bag – and tied on the side with some Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine.
The stars and greeting are from the Many Merry Stars stamp set featured in the Holiday Supplement See It Here
This set coordinates with the Star Framelits Dies – a must have!
I used Cherry Cobbler and Baked Brown Sugar inks.
