Tea Party

I am hosting a tea party for a very special someone – my mom!  She has a “significant” birthday and we are going to celebrate with her best friends – some have been her friends for over 60 years! This was the invitation I sent to invite her friends for tea!

We love tea parties in our family! Do you?  One of my girls’ favorite childhood memories are tea parties at Nanny’s house.  She has a collection of adorable tea pots – and they have shared many a cup of tea and finger sandwiches with her.  For my mom’s party, we will have all the tea party fare – cucumber sandwiches, scones, lemon curd, sweets, etc.  I can’t wait!

Here are the details of my card –
Whisper White cardstock base – 4 1/4 x 11 inches and scored at 5 1/2.
Next layer is Night of Navy cardstock – cut 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches.
Next layer is Whisper White – 3 x 4 inches and embossed with the Polka Dot embossing folder.
I stamped the Tea Party stamp with Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White cardstock and cut this shape in a snap with my Big Shot and Oval framelits.
Of course, I had to add a snippet of a Tea Lace doily, right!?
To finish the card, I punched a small flower with the flower punch from the Itty Bitty Punch pack.

There is also a perfect stamp in the Tea Party set for a favor – and I will be using that to create something special for the guests at the tea party.

Supplies are listed below –

Thanks for visiting today!
