Happy New Year! Wishing you many blessings, health and happiness in 2021!
I thought it would be fun to start out 2021 with some BLOG CANDY! I am giving away the Snailed It Bundle from the upcoming January-June Mini Catalog! It is a super cute bundle and since my post yesterday shared some great Snail Mail I received at Christmas, this seemed like the perfect bundle to give away!
To enter, just comment below and let me know what your traditions for New Year’s Day are- do you eat pork and sauerkraut? Black Eyed Peas? Do you make New Year’s Resolutions or not? Goals? Let me know in the comments and you will be entered to win – comment starting today and Sunday, Jan. 3th. I’ll randomly draw one winner to receive the bundle. The winner will be announced on Monday, Jan. 4th.
Here’s one of my all-time favorite New Year’s photos – this is my daughter Sarah’s dog, Benny as a puppy – he was celebrating Big Time on his first New Year’s Eve! He’s a sweetie!
We just spend the day as a family, usually outside playing in the snow, ice-fishing or skating on the lake.
Sounds fun! I’d love to try ice fishing sometime!
Pork and sauerkraut here as well! We usually just relax on NY
Love it!
I am cooking sauerkraut and pork as I comment. I always hope to be a better each year.🐝
Yum! Love pork and sauerkraut!
We always make cabbage rolls to have with our sauerkraut,
We always make cabbage rolls to eat with sauerkraut.
Yum! My mom used to make cabbage rolls- they were so good! I’ve never tried to make them.
Low key day with fam.
Sounds perfect!
Generally, I like to have pork and sauerkraut on New Years Day! I am not a resolution person, but my hubby is and he likes everyone in the family to make resolutions. I like to spend the day relaxing and making cards!
Sounds like a perfect day to me!!
We always get together with the same 14 friends on New Year’s Eve. This year we had a zoom get together instead and BYOB.
Sounds fun! We all had to do things differently this year!
Our tradition is pork and lentil soup! My dear Mommy always made this for us…a relaxing day with family!
Sounds good Tammie!
Sounds yummy Darlene!
Sauerkraut and pork and a penny under your plate so you will always have money in the new year!
Love the penny under your plate! Never heard of that before!!
Since our kids are older and do their own thing, normally we celebrate with our neighbor who has no family. We have more appetizers than we can possibly eat then onto Italian beef sandwiches and salad. We watch movies till the NY ball drop in which we hold a penny, have a shot of Bailey’s Irish Creme (not fans of champagne) make a wish for the new year and finalize with a peck on the cheek. Fun times….
That sounds really fun, Jackie!
We really don’t have one we never seem to make it to midnight. We always have sour kraut and pork for luck.
We actually made it to midnight last night! Haha!!
We always have pork & sauerkraut on New Years Day. We don’t make resolutions, we just try to be better than we were the year before.
Happy New Year Milligan Family!
Sounds like a great plan!
Its fun to read about traditions for New Year’s Day. I especially like the penny under the plate idea!

I started the New Year off in style. I prepped everything I need to put my New Year’s cards together. So that mean’s I’ll be productive and creating lots of cards this year. Happy New Year

We always have sauerkraut and pork to start off the new year. Happy New Year!

Can’t wait!!
pork and sauerkraut and family. no new years resolution. who keeps them anyway? lol love this bundle so cute!
Haha you are right- most don’t keep their resolution if they make any!
yes, Sauerkraut and pork is a must for New Years. Thank You for a chance to win your blog candy.
Agree- we have it every year!
Pork and Haluski (fried cabbage and dumplings) for New Years Day dinner! Yummy!!
Yum -never heard of Haluski but it sounds yummy!
New Years Day is very simple with staying at home. My husband is from the south so we do have roasted pork and sauerkraut with side dishes of blackeyed peas, collard greens and corn bread. Never do a New Years Resolutions as I never follow through with them. I do set some type of goal and this year it is to spend less time on media and more time reading in the evening. I already removed the apps off my phone. Looking forward to this set as I do love punches.
Usually black eyed peas, but we didn’t this year!!! Couldn’t be any worse year than 2020!!! I just signed up for paper swap, and I also plan on signing for Dragonfly bundle. Hope I get the catalogs you sent soon……maybe today? HNY🎉
We usually relax and watch movies eating left overs from the night before, usually appetizers!
Appetizers sound good to me! Happy New Year!
We actually do eat pork and sauerkraut for New Year’s, at least I do, my hubby, while of German heritage is no a fan of sauerkraut. I also start getting rid of the sugar in the household and back to some serious eating. I am trying to do better with all my nieces and nephews and the greats birthday cards as well as friends anniversaries, etc. I just recently started card crafting again and am truly enjoying it again. Happy New Year everyone and God bless you all. Take care of yourselves.
