There’s something about adding a little shine to a handmade card that makes it feel extra special!
During my recent Facebook Live, I had the chance to play with some exciting new products coming in the Stampin’ Up! September–December 2026 Catalog, including the new Hot Foil products. And I had so much fun experimenting with them!
My first card featured the Garden Silhouette Hot Foil design paired with a beautiful floral die cut and the Classic Greetings Hot Foil Dies.
I love the combination of the deep blue (secrete sea) cardstock with the gold foil. It creates such an elegant background, and the large flower and leaves add just the right amount of dimension.
The large “thank you” greeting really takes center stage, with the gold foil adding that extra bit of sparkle. Sometimes a simple card design is all you need when the details are this pretty!
I also shared a quick peek at another card featuring the Garden Silhouette Hot Foil design.
This time, the color palette is completely different, with a soft, feminine combination of pinks and warm neutrals. And instead of making the floral pattern the star of the card, the beautiful butterfly elements steal the show. I couldn’t resist giving you a little preview!
For my second project during the Live, I pulled out the Butterfly Flight Hot Foil Dies and had even more fun with foil!
These butterflies are gorgeous on their own, but adding color to the foiled images really brings them to life. I layered several butterflies over the floral background and used a simple sentiment strip to finish the card.
I love how completely different this card feels from the first one. Same idea of adding beautiful foiled details, but a whole different personality!
