Congratulations, Grad!

It’s that time of year again – graduation!  We don’t have any graduates this year in our family, but we have friends who are graduating, so we will celebrate with them!

When I make a graduation card for someone, I like to use the graduate’s school colors in the card.  My card today features black and red – which happen to be the colors of the school my daughter attends.

Here’s how it went together:
*I started with a basic black cardstock base – cut 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, and scored at 4 1/4.
*Next layer is whisper white – 4 x 5 1/4.  I used real red ink to stamp the long stamp from Butterfly Basics along the left side.  The Congratulations, Grad! stamp is from the BYOP stamp set, and was stamped with Momento Black ink.
*My Big Shot and Star framelits were used for the two star shapes -the star framelits are great for so many occasions – they are a must have!  I used basic black cardstock and a piece of red patterned paper from the Maritime designer paper pack.
*To finish the card, I twirled a bit of black bakers twine between the two stars.  (I like to attach the bakers twine with dimensionals)

This card is easily duplicatable – so if you need several graduation cards, this could be your “go to” card.

I have listed all the supplies for my card below- you can place an online order in my store by simply clicking on any image.

And here are this week’s deals!

My favorite  – the gorgeous Painted Blooms designer paper – and I also love the Build a Bouquet project kit!
