Thanking Those Who Serve

May 23, 2015 | Uncategorized | 0 comments

I had hoped to share more of our Stampin’ Up! trip to Hawaii this week,  but the week sort of got away from me – spent quite a bit of time with my mom who has had ongoing health issues.  Love her so much and if you would, please keep her in your prayers.

Since it is Memorial Day Weekend, I thought I would post about our final event of the Hawaii trip – we were taken to Pearl Harbor and had a private tour of the USS Missouri – and then had dinner there afterwards.

It was a somber feeling to walk on the deck of this great ship – and made me so thankful for those who sacrificed so much for our freedom.
Here are a few more photos of the event:

No that is not me and Rich – lol! This was a statue reenacting the famous kiss – I am sure most of you remember this photo!

Here we are – this photo shows how huge everything is on this ship – except the bunk room – oh my – they have four of five bunks stacked on top of each other – not sure I could do that!

And here is a photo of me and my stampin’ bff – Kim – Stampin’ Up! had hired some darling actors to portray sailors – so we did a quick photo!

Hope you enjoy this long weekend and remember to reflect for a moment on all that we have because of the sacrifices of so many.

I promise I will get back to regular posting soon!
