Starting today Stampin’ Up! has released a brand new bundle of beautiful products – the Butterfly Brilliance Collection! The bundle consists of a stamp set and coordinating dies – Butterfly Brilliance, plus there are two specialty papers. The Bundle will appear in our upcoming Annual Catalog to be released in early May. The beautiful specialty papers are only part of the early release – they won’t be appearing in the next catalog – and are available only while supplies last. I recommend that you get two packs at least for your stash! I know I will be ordering several for myself!
I created the card above to show a way to use little scraps of Designer Series Paper – we all have our scraps, right? Just adhere the strips to a shape – in this case I used a circle – and them trim the edges. My butterflies were cropped from one of the pieces of DSP – you can actually use the largest die in the set and crop six butterflies at the same time! You can see three more of the cropped butterflies in my second card below. I LOVE the coordination of the dies and the dsp! A match made in heaven, and it sure makes for an easy way to create a stunning card!
This next card is one that is very similar to something we were making a few years ago – I call it a slit card. To create this card, use the Classic Label punch to create a slit, and adhere the butterfly bodies to the inside of the card – when the card is open, the wings go through the slit and the butterflies appear on the inside of the card. A fun way to switch things up a bit!
This is such a fun card to make, and really quite simple! I used Smoky Slate ink to stamp the stamp set onto my card front – it is such a pretty stamp and stamps beautifully! The words I used are from the Here’s a Card stamp set -a great set of various words!
Here’s a peek at the inside of the card:
