Yesterday I did a Facebook Live on my I’d Rather Bee Stampin’ page. I created three cards – the first was super simple – then i stepped it up a bit for my second card, and then the final card was really stepped up! I think there are times when we need a quick, simple card, and so the first two cards fit that need!
I used the HoneyBee Home Bundle from the January – June Mini Catalog – no surprise that it is a favorite of mine from this catalog! I love both the bee images and the word fonts.
The first card – so very simple- just uses a Basic White Notecard & Envelope – I stamped a bee with Tuxedo Black Ink onto a die cut Hexagon from the Beautiful Shapes dies. I stamped my words, added a bit of gingham ribbon and a rhinestone and the card was complete!
The second card I created was the same as the first – with just a few more elements. I cropped a larger hexagon from the Beautiful Shapes dies out of Vellum, and embossed it with the Hive Embossing Folder. I found a white sprig from the Honeybee Blooms Dies literally laying on my desk and decided to add it to this card – just for a little more added texture. Simple card just taken up a bit!
The third card I made is clearly more stepped up – this is a Tent Card layout – I love to create these and yes, they will fit into a regular envelope!
The base of this card is 2 1/2″ x 11″ – scored at 5 1/2″. I added more products and layers to this card – the Heart & Home DSP – this particular pattern I used reminds me of Shiplap that is so popular now in Home Decor!
Also used are the Heart & Home Doilies ( I flipped one over and used the back side rather than the colored front), a large label from the Hippo and Friends dies, the beautiful Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon and the Classic Matte Dots. I cut a few “sprigs” with the Honeybee Blooms dies and added them in- I used both Smoky Slate and Vellum Layering Designs.
Here is the recording of today’s Facebook Live: Whether you are watching the replay or the recording via my youtube channel, please leave a comment and subscribe! Your name will be entered for a drawing of the cards I create – winners get a card mailed to them!
