For my Facebook Live on Wednesday, I shared two projects to showcase the Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper. It is part of our current Saleabration offering and is free with a $50 product order! This paper’s name suits it well – it really is beautiful- who doesn’t like a black and white combo!? I know I do!
Please click below to watch the replay if you’d like to follow along and see how these projects were made.
My first card was very simple – I added strips of the Designer Series Paper (3 3/4″ x 1″) onto a Basic White rectangle (4″ x 3 1/2″).
The coneflower was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto a large circle cropped from the Layering Circle dies. The words I used are from a set called Inspired Thoughts – this is a great word set that I just recently discovered in our Annual Catalog! I love it because it has sentiments for various occasions/needs – birthday, sympathy, get well, even Christmas – and there are sentiments for both the outside message and inside message for a card.
This card is so simple to create – but sometimes those are the best cards!
The next project I made was a pocket card -also with the Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper. I also used another Saleabration reward on this card – the Delicate Dahlias stamp set – this is a large stamp set and is free during Saleabration with a $100 qualifying product order. Its images are gorgeous and the word stamps in the set and really nice as well. I used Pale Papaya cardstock and ink to add some color to the Beautifully Penned black/white palette.
You will want to watch the replay of the FB Live to se how this card goes together.
The small card fits right into the pocket of this card layout.
I love that the smaller card shows both sides of the Beautifully Penned DSP. I added a greeting from the Delicate Dahlias set, as well as the small flower to the inside of this smaller card.
Measurements for the Pocket Card:
Thick Basic White – 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base; 3 1/2″ x 4″ – rectangle – you will cut diagonally to create pocket; large scrap to crop Dahlia after stamping; 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ – inside panel of small card
Pale Papaya- 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ small card; large scrap for cropping circle
DSP: 4″ x 5 1/4″ – marked with a pencil at 1 1/2″ from top left side and at 1″ from bottom right corner; 3″ x 8″ scored at 4″, small strip 3″ x 1/2″ (refer to the Facebook Live to see how I did this)
Hope you enjoy these projects and that you will try a pocket card!
