Lucy was here on Friday and she has been wanting to do a Facebook Live – so we did one on my I’d Rather Bee Stampin’ page.
We created a cute Snowman (or for Lucy it was a Snow- woman!) gift card holder. It’s that time of year – I give a lot of Gift Cards and love this idea – inspired by a card I received from Connie Babbert.
With just a few supplies, most of which you probably have on hand, this gift card is quick and easy to make! The Gift Card slips behind the brim of the hat – and I love that it will fit in a regular envelope for mailing – if you need to put yours in the mail.

On yesterday’s Facebook Live, I shared a sweet little gift box – this could be a great gift card holder, or would hold any small gift. I love to “dress up” a gift card but presenting it in a special way – it makes it look more personal and thoughtful! I created this box with the Snow Wonder Stamp Set and Coordinating Snow Time Dies.

My box is a Mini Paper Pumpkin Box – these boxes are perfect for little boxes like this one! It’s a “no adhesive needed” box – so easy – just fold on the scored lines and assemble. I then wrapped a piece of the beautiful White 3/8″ Glittered Organdy Ribbon around the box and tied with a bow.
For the box front, I started with a panel of Basic Gray Cardstock (3 5/8″ x 5 3/8″).
I stamped the trees with Old Olive ink onto a panel of the beautiful Peaceful Place Specialty Designer Series Paper. I love the look of stamping directly onto our Designer Series Paper and need to do it more often!
The Snow Lady was stamped with Basic Gray Ink and then cropped with the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. Be sure to watch the Facebook Live Replay for a tip on how to do multiples of a stamped and cropped image quickly! I did the same with the word label shape.
To finish up my box, I added just a bit of color to the Snow Lady with Stampin’ Blends and then adhered the word panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The Snow Lady is attached with dimensionals.
For a bit of bling I added three Real Red Rhinestones.

My Facebook Live on Monday featured three different cards using the Sparkle of the Season Bundle. I love this bundle and it’s versatilty! I was able to create three totally different cards – Halloween, Gratitude (good all year long!) and Christmas. I created a whimsical Christmas card – very simple with a panel of Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper. For this card, my wreath was created with a stamp from the Sparkle of the Season stamp set – I stamped this onto a square of Basic White card stock with Crumb Cake Ink. I used a Crumb Cake blend to spatter some subtle flecks onto this panel. The pine boughs were stamped in Evening Evergreen ink, the pine cones in Crumb Cake ink – and all were cropped with the coordinating dies and my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. So easy! I added a bit of bling to the wreath with Metallic Pearls. These pearls come in a package with both Silver and Gold pearls and are great to add a subtle touch of bling to your projects. To finis the card I placed my word panel over a piece of Gold Shimmer Ribbon.
I created a whimsical Halloween card. I love the star wreath die cut with Crumb Cake Cardstock. The bats and pumpkin are part of the Seasonal Swirls dies included in the Sparkle of the Season bundle. There are some great dies in this set – including the cute witch’s broom! For this card, I used a panel of Melon Mango DSP from the Brights Paper Stack, and the Polka Dot pattern is from the host only Playful Patterns Paper Stack – everyone is crazy about this stack of DSP – one side is all black/white patterns and designs, while the other side is a mix of colorful patterns. I embossed a panel with the Timeworn Embossing Folder and built the rest of the layers up from that. I wanted to add a touch of sparkle, so I used a small strip of the Black Organdy Glittered Ribbon, and a bow of Linen Thread.
I used three different colors of cardstock to create the wreath on the card below – Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Pale Papaya. I positioned the three wreaths – and offset them so that the leaves were not lined up, but instead scattered around the wreath shape. I pulled some of the leaves from the different leaves to give it some dimension and to blend the different colors together. I used the Bark embossing panel – and love the mix of the Very Vanilla with the Whisper White colors. I finished the card with a few Champagne Rhinestone Gems and a Linen Thread bow.

Yesterday for my weekly Facebook Live, I showed two different stamp sets – with very different looks! First, I used the Nuts About Squirrel Stamp Set has won my heart over! These squirrels are just too cute!

My card design featured a fun fold – with a pull out feature. For the card base, you will need two sheets of 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Granny Apple Green. You will need to use a paper trimmer to “angle” the edges – you can watch my FB Live recording to see how I did it.
After cutting and attaching the two panels of Granny Green cardstock together, I then decorated the two triangles. I used the wonderful Cork Specialty Paper – if you haven’t used it yet, you need to get some in your hands ASAP! You can stamp on it for a rustic look – as I did. I used a pretty pattern from the Beauty of the Earth DSP for the other triangle.
Here’s the card with the insert positioned in the card base.
The next card I created features the Christmas Cloche bundle. It is a darling set – and you know I love anything with birds! I wanted to make a card with this bundle as I am featuring it in my October Class to Go – this is an additional idea to the cards in my class. Registration for my class closes this Friday, Oct. 15th. You can contact me via email for a registration link. Don’t miss out on this great class! The bundle is so versatile – it can be used to create Shaker Cards as well!
For this card, I used a card base of Soft Succulent, and then used a small strip of Basic White cardstock and the Cloche dies to crop out the cloche. I used the Wintry Embossing folder to add a snowy/wintry look. I used the Cloche dies to crop the trees as well as the birds and the snowy landscape placed inside the cloche. The thin panel of Crumb Cake cardstock is also cropped from the Cloche dies.
I finished the card with a stamped greeting and a bit of Baker’s Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack.
