This card tutorial today features an early release bundle -called Warm Welcome! It’s so cute, isn’t it?
If you are interested in the Virtual World Card Making Event – all details below – this is one of the bundles that will be used during the event! If you order this bundle (or any of the ones that will be used for the event), you will receive a pack of of Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels (item #158987) for free. MEASUREMENTS:
Pool Party Card Stock: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, 2” x ¾”
Sahara Sand Card Stock :5 ¼” x 4”
Crumb Cake Card Stock: 3 ¾ x 3”
Basic White Card Stock: 3” x 1 ½”
Soft Suede Card Stock: 4” x 1 ¼”
INSTRUCTIONS:
Fold the Pool Party cardbase in half to form a 5 ½” x 4 ¼” card.
Stamp the door image onto the Crumb Cake Cardstock; die cut out and color frame and edge with dark Crumb Cake Blend.
Emboss the Sahara Sand Cardstock with the Brick & Mortar Folder, Brush with Sponge Dauber and Gray Granite Ink to highlight some of the raised bricks, adhere to the cardbase.
Adhere Soft Suede Card Stock to the bottom of your card
Adhere the Door on top of the Soft Suede Carstock
Cut small piece of Pool Party at a small angel so the top of the “Mat” measures 1 ½”, stamp Welcome with Pool Party Ink, and adhere to the bottom of the door to create a welcome mat.
Stamp image with two hands and coffee cups in the middle of the Basic White Card Stock; Color with blends as desired; Stamp Small heart in Poppy Parade above the hands; Color the edges of the Basic White with Light Smoky Slate and soften with the Color lifter to emote shadowing.
Adhere the Basic White Card Stock to the inside of the door
Die cut the label and stamp the greeting in Poppy Parade adhere to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals
Stamp your Inside piece with the words “Miss You”
Don’t forget to stamp your envelope!

INSTRUCTIONS:
Burnish and fold the card base with a Bone Folder.
Stamp the grid image several times in Sahara Sand Classic Ink onto the card base and the layer as shown.
Adhere to the card base with dimensionals.
Stamp the Apple Harvest image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Color with the following Stampin’ Blends Combo Packs: Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede.
Crop with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the coordinating Apple Blossoms Die. Adhere with dimensionals.
Tie a bow of Linen Thread and adhere as shown with a Mini Glue Dot.
Stamp the sentiment in Versamark Ink onto Basic Black Cardstock. Emboss with White Embossing Powder.
Crop with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Apple Blossoms sentiment die. Adhere with dimensionals.

I wanted to show the versatility of the dies – the wagon alone is just so cute – you can fill it with flowers, like I did – or pumpkins, fall leaves etc – anything goes !!!
I used the Fun Flower Resin shapes for my embellishments – they compliment the Brights Stack DSP that I used – in this case, I used a piece of Pacific Point DSP, along with a card base of Pacific Point.
This card is always a great color combination – Red, Black and White. Watch the recording to see the trick I did for cutting the pig’s tail and having it pop through the wagon – too cute, right? The Black and White Polka Dot DSP is from the Black & White Designs 12 / 12 Paper Pack. It adds to the whimsy of this card.
This Piggy is just so cute – I added some color with Petal Pink blends and Basic Black blends – the Basic Black blends were used to add some black spots.

For my Facebook Live this week, I created two whimsical cards featuring the Kindest Gnomes bundle. Gnomes are so popular recently and they are just plain cute! Like I said in my Live I never really thought about girl gnomes – I normally think of a Gnome as a bearded gent – but in this bundle there are girls gnomes too – and they are just as sweet as the gents!

The first card uses the dies that are used to create a gnome – no stamping at all – just die cut and you will end up with this cute little fella! The dies have detail added – texture to the beard and stitching around the hat and shoes – love the extra detail! This card is a fun fold – it opens up from the top on a shorter panel.
I used Poppy Parade ink for this card – I pulled the color from the cute mushroom Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Storybook Gnomes DSP Pack.
The next card I made uses the Whimsical Woodland embossing folder – I think it is a perfect compliment to the gnomes. The mushroom and gnome were cropped right out of the Designer Series Paper – I LOVE when we can do that – it makes for creating a great card really quickly! There are two sheets in the DSP pack of mushrooms and gnomes – so you can make a lot of cards just by cropping the DSP!
This is also a fun fold – I cut a 1 inch strip off of the front panel of the card so that the inside panel would show. This card went together quickly – and I embellished with the Fine Sparkle Adhesive Backed Gems. I thought it would be fun to dress up the gnome’s hat – so added a big loopy bow made from White Baker’s Twine.
Here is the same card layout – with a different color palette – Poppy Parade card base and the mushroom DSP. Which is your favorite?
